The Disability Law Service campaigns relentlessly to create a fairer society for disabled people, their families, and their carers

Our campaigns are based on our policy work and case work. We aim to use our legal expertise to highlight areas where laws are not working adequately for disabled people.

Our Mission drives our work to have such laws changed – whether they cut welfare benefits, ignore employment discrimination, or refuse housing adjustments. However, for many disabled people today, this is still their reality and we want to fight these injustices.

Above all, we want to use our collective power to change attitudes, end injustice and inequality, and ensure society treats disabled people with equal respect.

Reasonable Adjustments for Carers

We’re campaigning to make sure parents and carers receive support from their employers to work flexibly and have their rights protected in law.

Equal Care Rights for Autistic Children

Our investigation into several Local Authorities has uncovered unlawful and discriminatory policies in assessing the needs of autistic children.
